TSLP The Fading Art of Handwriting Printable Guide
A practical and aesthetic guide to improving your handwriting. Written by me, Rebecca - and hopefully considerate and gentle but also constructive. I’ve spend the last 3-4 years working on my own handwriting after years of not writing as much as I probably should have done.
What occurred to me most during the process was how much I enjoyed it, how good it felt, and how lovely it is now to finally have the handwriting my younger self dreamed of! I really take joy in writing slowly and generously in fountain pen these days. Here are my tips I’ve learned along the way, together with some proper guidelines & theory, plus usable worksheets with faded versions of letters and words for you to trace.
The lines contain my actual handwriting, not a font, which I believe to be quite rare amongst these types of workbooks! Of course, you don’t want my exact handwriting (!) but I hope it will help to see the real marks of a human as a benchmark rather than formal, unachievable computer characters.
Many of us are just very out of practice now, but with some gentle accountability, a gradual amount of effort and strength building, you too can have beautiful handwriting. But as I note in the guide itself, the most important thing to note is that your loved ones will love seeing your handwriting however much you hate it. If this guide helps give you some extra confidence then that’s great. We made this because people ask for it ALL THE TIME!!!! In the shop. But really, you don’t need it at all! (Worst sales pitch ever, I know).
Please note that this is not a physical product, it is a printable guide so you will need access to a printer if you wish to use the workbook to trace over my letters, as intended. If you don’t have immediate access to a printer you can still enjoy the workbook by viewing it on a screen and writing into a notebook.
