We believe strongly that in today’s mostly digital world, community and connection are absolutely vital for our wellbeing and happiness.

With so many people living apart from friends and family, letter writing and card sending are a beautiful way to maintain relationships through the distance.

We are Rebecca and Karl, a husband and wife team based in Cheltenham. We started Wildflower Illustration Co. in 2015 because we believe in the power of a handwritten note to brighten someone’s day or capture a shared memory. In an increasingly digital world, we hope our cards and stationery will spread a little joy on doormats around the world.

Starting out at the kitchen table of our flat, we moved to a Cotswold barn studio in 2018 where we enjoyed many idyllic years in the countryside. However, in September 2023 we finally achieved our dream of opening a bricks and mortar stationery shop in The Suffolks, Cheltenham. This now houses our studio as well as an event space, where we host creative workshops and events.

Committed to protecting our planet, we've minimised our footprint since starting our card production in 2013. We believe in offsetting the impacts of our physical products. We champion the enduring value of handwritten letters and cards, while embracing environmentally-friendly practices. Our approach balances mindful acquisition of beloved cards and art prints, ensuring eco-friendly creation, and giving back through tree planting and community events, more than we take.
